Agree or Disagree: It was appropriate for Prime Minister Harper calling Calgary the best City in Canada

In a moment of controversy, The Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper declared a city that he is an MP in C Calgary is the "greatest city in Canada" You can read a perspective here.

Although Harper was born in Toronto, he has strong roots to the University of Calgary and Calgary in general. It would certainly be fair for him to feel some personal affection for Calgary.

Bob Rae and NDP leader Thomas Muclair amongst others felt that as leaders of Canada they represent all Canadian cities.

Although was not scripted, Harper has not backed down from the comment.

One might remember Barack Obama a couple of years ago saying that if the Chicago Bears went to the Super Bowl, he would attend. He has been very public about his cheering for Chicago.

So, do you think people are overreacting? Or was this inappropriate?
